Design is visual communication. Just like writing or speaking, communicating complex ideas through visual means requires consideration. In the case of Apotex Fermentation, the subject was contract manufacturing of fermentation based products including pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. A dry subject aimed at scientists and decision makers in highly technical roles, it was BIOs job to create an appealing visual design that humanized the company.
Using engaging photography and visual elements, BIO created a web presence, trade show materials, and handouts that encouraged both the highly technical and not-so-technical alike to learn more about Apotex’s services. Photos of the staff in Apotex’s Winnipeg office showed the people behind the cold, scientific facade of the subject matter.
